Vintage Design
These Danish minimalist first edition Pia dining chairs were designed by Poul Cadovius for Royal Persiennen in 1958.
Royal Persiennen also produced the first edition of the famous ‘Royal System’ shelving system, which was also designed by Poul Cadovius in the same year. The Pia chairs feature frames made from teakwood with conical-shaped legs and classical timber joints. The backrests are made of molded teak plywood. Both chairs have the original hand-woven seats of paper cord.
