Vintage Design
This is a very early example from the 1930s of the classical B35 model designed by Marcel Breuer for Thonet in the very last years of the 1920s. The leather has great patina and is definitely early but possibly a later addition and has been stabilized at some point with fabric underneath. An identical example of this design (except for the upholstery) is in the Rijksmuseum collection in Amsterdam and that piece has impeccable provenance and has documents that prove it was manufactured in the years 1930/1931.
