A stately Japanese (or Chinese) bronze vase. It’s extremely well done with crisp and detailed castings of exotic birds and flowers. It’s heavy and measures an impressive 15” high and 8” at its widest (the top is 5.5”across with an opening of 5”). It does have a hole in the bottom where someone drilled it for a lamp. (There’s also a black silicone type residue around the inside base of the vase which may have been used to protect the integrity of the peace when drilling or to stabilize dried flowers. It can be removed by pulling it out by hand. I will leave it in case you want to enlarge the hole. The hole can be easily closed up with some plumbers putty and used to hold water.) A great opportunity to buy a beautiful bronze vase. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Cheers
