Vintage Design
The coffee table goes by the name Smile and is in teak designed in 1957 by Johannes Andersen for CFC Silkeborg in Denmark. The coffee table has been given the name Smile because the magazine shelf looks like a smile.
Our coffee table is in the larger model and considerably more unusual size of 150 cm, the smaller model is 134 cm long.
The table has slanted slender legs and an incorporated newspaper shelf with softly rounded edges.
The legs are connected to the table top in a characteristic way for Andersen and is found in the majority of Hand’s furniture.
Even the soft design language and the extremely high quality are typical hallmarks of Johannes Andersen.
Coffee tables cannot be other than the obvious height and center point in the home!
