Vintage Design
Adjustable seat in black leather on a structure in steel tube.
Good condition.
The Rover chair is the first piece of furniture designed by industrial designer Ron Arad. Made in 1981, it is the fruit of the merger of two readymades and launched Arad’s career. This postmodernist design chair combines a car seat with a tubular structure.
The original chairs manufactured by the company One off of ARAD were sold at auction by Christie’s, Bonhams, Bonhams & Butterfiel and Göteborgs and brought back thousands of books during auctions at the start of the century] The success of the chair, which became an icon, launched ARAD’s career.
The chairs were produced by One Off until 1989, and in 2008, they were produced by Vitra in two models [12] A two -seater version was sold at auction in 2011.
